World of Warcraft Weapons Guide: Axe – Part 1
Playing World of Wacraft, the most popular and widely subscribed game of all time, requires you to choose and use weapons that are highly appropriate for a certain situation. Doing otherwise would mean death. While it is true that your character can be resurrected from death, it is also true that you will lose valuable time and resources. This is why it is good to choose your weapons well.
One of the most popular and widely used weapon types in World of Warcraft is the axe group. The weapons in the category are usually made with a short but broad blade that is attached to a base called a pole. These edged weapons also come in either one-handed or two-handed versions. As weapons, they are powerful and work very much like swords. They are effective in combats and are always a safe bet to use. So, here we shall start the tour on the axe weapon type in World of Warcraft.
Devastation is a two-hand axe weapon with requiring the player to be in level 70. It is used as a reagent and improves the critical strike rating by 2.3%, the attack power by 150 and the stamina by 75. It has a speed rating of 3.90 and it can inflict 496-744 damage to your target. That is equivalent to giving 159.0 damage per second. What is more that it also increases your overall movement speed by as much as 50% and your attack speed by 20% that is good for 30 seconds.
Ancient Hakkari Manslayer
This one-hand axe weapon binds to the player’s character when picked up. The Ancient Hakari Manslayer has a required level of 70. It is not a powerful axe to use since it is only capable of giving 69-130 damage to targets and its speed is rated to just be 2.00. However, you can use this to steal 48-54 life from your enemy.
Axe of the Deep Woods
The required level of players to use Axe of the Deep Woods is 52. It binds to the main hand of the character when it is equipped. It has a speed rating of2.70 and can damage opponents from 78 to 146. Or 41.5 damage per second. What you get as a bonus though is that you can blow up your target and inflict 90-126 Nature damage to your enemy as a result.
Axe of the Gronn Lords
Axe of the Gronn Lords is a two-hand axe weapon that is pretty useful and powerful item in World of Warcraft. The required player level is 70. When picked up, it gives the character a boost in their attack power by 124 and stamina by 66. With 3.60 speed rating, it can inflict 119.9 damage per second or 345-518 general damage to your target.
The Planar Edge
The Planar Edge is main hand axe weapon that is used as recipe. It binds immediately when picked up by players in level 70 or higher and gives their character an increase in critical strike rating by 0.9% and in their attack power by 42. Furthermore, it has a speed rating of 2.70 which is not that bad. The Planar Edge can also inflict 159-296 damage to your target which is equivalent to 84.3 damage per second.
Blessed Qiraji War Axe
This one-hand axe weapon binds when picked up. It gives the character an increase in their critical strike rating by 0.6%, attack power by 14, stamina by 9, and their intellect by 10. Level 60 and higher players can use this to give their target 110-205 damage or 60.6 damage per second.
Bloodmoon is one of the most popular axe weapons in World of Warcraft. It belongs to the two-hand variety and binds to the character when it is picked up. When equipped with this, the player’s character will experience an increase in its critical strike rating by 2.5% and its attack power by 112. Furthermore, its speed rating of 3.70 is enough to inflict 375-564 damage to opponents (126.9 damage per second). The required player level is 70.
The Brain Hacker is a two-hand axe weapon that binds when equipped. The required player level is 55. When using this weapon with speed of 2.10, you can give 95-143 damage to your target (56.7 damage per second) which is not much compared to other axe weapons. However, you could wound your target to give him 200-300 damage and have a chance to hurt his intellect and lower it by 25 for 30 beneficial seconds.
