World of Warcraft Weapons Guide: Bows – Part 17

There is no need for further introduction on this article as this was done 16 articles ago. This is now the 17th part of the article series consisting of written works discussing some of the most useful weapons in the whole game of World of Warcraft. This article contains bows that are no longer available to the game but are still good enough for you to know them. Let us start.

Valanos’ Longbow

This ranged jade and purple bow is a very fancy and expensive looking bow. But, the look of this bow is just right for its actual performance: strong and fancy. This WoW weapon was added to the game realm via patch 2.0.1 and since then, it has been one of the favorites of many seasoned World of Warcraft players. It is a level 115 item that only requires level 70 players for it to bind. Valanos’ Longbow binds to a character when it is equipped and when it does, it will improve the agility of the certain character by as much as 11 points. Furthermore, Valanos’ Longbow also has the ability to increase the hit rating of character by 10 or 0.68% and its critical strike rating by also 10 or 0.45% when it is equipped. The speed of Valanos’ Longbow ticks at 2.80 at average which is mediocre and the usual average speed for bows this powerful. Valanos’ Longbow is able to inflict 93.3 damage per second or from 182 to 340 total health damage to its target. Aside from those, Valanos’ Longbow is also one pretty durable bow though it is not as durable as its equals in power level. This means that you should be wary when using Valanos’ Longbow. Vengeful Gladiator’s Longbow

The Vengeful Gladiator’s Longbow was once the best looking bow in the game; but not now. Why? The Vengeful Gladiator’s Longbow is no longer available to the players of World of Warcraft. However, when it was on the game, this bow has a very beautiful blue aura and a crystal-like look that would awe anyone. Plus, the Vengeful Gladiator’s Longbow has power as impressive, and even more so, than its look. It is a level 146 item that requires players to attain at least the 70th level for it to bind. The Vengeful Gladiator’s Longbow binds immediately when picked up and will automatically give the stamina of the character a boost by 24. Furthermore, this bow also has the capacity to increase the critical strike rating of the host by as much as 16, resilience rating by 13, and ranged attack power by 34. In order to get the Vengeful Gladiator’s Longbow, you must have 1850 points of Personal Arena Rating. This bow has a seed rating of 3.00 and could inflict a whopping 134.2 damage per second or from 321 to 483 total health damage to its target. The Vengeful Gladiator’s Longbow was once the best bow to be used in PVE situations but since it is no longer available, you can use Archimond’s and Illidiand’s bow instead.

Ven’jashi’s Bow

Added to the game via patch 2.0.1, this bow could only be used by a character in the Horde side. Ven’jashi’s Bow, with item level 11, is not a powerful bow by all means. In fact, it only has a speed rating of 2.00 and could only inflict 7.8 damage per second or 10 to 21 total damage to its target. Aside from the puny attack power, Ven’jashi’s Bow also has a disappointing durability – it would easily break even when used sparingly. You can get the Ven’jashi’s Bow as a reward from a quest named “Zul’Marosh” requiring level 8 players.

Venomstrike

What you can expect from a level 21 item like Venomstrike is mediocre performance but what you do not expect it to do is extract additional points from its target. This ranged World of Warcraft weapon that was added when patch 1.11.1 was installed requires level 16 players. It has a speed rating of 2.70 and could only bestow 18.4 damage per second or from 34 to 65 total health damage to its target enemy. However, if you have the right skill to release the arrow at the right time, you can strike a Venom Shot that would inflict 31 to 45 Nature damage. Moreover, Venomstrike is quite a durable weapon. This item could only be dropped when in Normal mode by Lord Serpentis at the Wailing Caverns.

Verdant Keeper’s Aim

The Verdant’ Keeper’s Aim is a weapon that is no longer available to World of Warcraft players. This level 39 item is a durable weapon that would serve any character just right. It has a speed rating of 2.80 and could inflict 34.8 damage per second or from 68 to 127 total health damage to its target. Verdant Keeper’s Aim is the same in many ways as 23 other bows:

  1. Farstrider’s Longbow (a level 21 item that requires level 15 players)
