This is the 19th part of the Bows article series in this website. If you wanted to understand or have further knowledge on this topic then read on the first articles or the linking World of Warcraft weapons overview article to find out. So, let us continue.

Well Crafted Long bow

Well Crafted Long Bow is a ranged World of Warcraft weapon for the Horde side that was added to the game world in patch 2.0.1. It is a level 20 item that is not special in anyway. Why? This WoW weapon does not bring any random enchantment to the character that it binds to except for the increase in the agility by only 2 points. The Well Crafted Long Bow binds to a character of any level when it is picked up. It has a speed rating of 2.70 and could only inflict 13.2 damage per second or from 24 to 47 total body damage to its target. The Well Crafted Long Bow, despite all the things that it lacks, is still quite a worthy weapon for the earliest levels of the game. You can get this as a reward from a quest titles “Bring Me Kel’gash’s Head!” which requires level 9 players. The quest will also give you 1950 Experience Points.

Whipwood Recurve Bow

Recurve bows are not really known for being powerful. In fact, some recurve bows are one of the weakest in World of Warcraft armory when it comes to prowess (damage inflicting ability). Whipwood Recurve Bow is no different as this ranged level 34 item is also weak.  With speed rating of 1.80, this bow could only induce 23.1 damage per second or from 29to 55 total health damage to its target. The Whipwood Recurve Bow requires level 29 players so if you are interested, you can get this bow from 200 characters that has dropped it. The list of characters include:

Windspear Longbow

The Windspear Longbow was added in World of Warcraft via patch 2.0.1 as a level 120 item. Of course, with such a high item level you could also expect its performance to be high. The Windspear Longbow will not disappoint you. First off, when it binds to a level 70 character (only when equipped), this bow will improve the character’s agility by as much as 18 points, intellect by also 18 points, spirit by 18 points, strength by 18 points, and stamina by as much as 27 points. Aside from those, the Windspear Longbow will also improve the character’s critical strike rating by 9 points, hit rating by 9 points, and attack power by a whopping 36 points. Now, random enchantments are only a bonus that you will get with the Windspear Longbow. Worn Shortbow

This very wooden looking bow was added in World of Warcraft through patch 1.11.1. The Worn Shortbow is a level 2 item that could not be disenchanted. As you would expect from a level 2 WoW item, the Worn Shortbow is weak and is only good to use in very basic situations in which you feel the need to use a bow. The speed rating of the Worn Shortbow is 2.30 and it could just give 1.3 damage per second or from 2 to 4 total health damage to its target enemy. The durability of the Worn Shortbow is very low. If you want one then the Worn Shortbow is sold by 9 characters:

  1. Avelii at The Exodar
  2. Beega at Bloodmyst Isle
  3. Celana at Silvermoon City
  4. Kramlod Farsight at Tirisfal Glades
  5. Lina Stover at Stormwind city
  6. Narianna at Moonglade
  7. Narina at Ghostlands
  8. Paelarin at Eversong Woods
  9. Talu Frosthoof at Howling Fjord
