World of Warcraft Weapons Guide: Bows – Part 2

The thing that makes World of Warcraft such an addictive game, aside from its stimulating game play, is the fact that players can choose over many weapons. These weapons are divided into categories with which they are put together with other weapons that functions and performs similar to them. Now, one of these categories is bows.

Bows is a special weapon category in World of Warcraft and is one of the most used weapon categories in the game. The reason behind is its distinct characteristic of being able to attack even from afar. Players could bind a bow to their character and then use it to hit their target from a distance. In this manner, the players can avoid getting their character harmed on close quarter combats. Bows are useful and are also quite cheap. In fact, they are considered the cheapest weapon category in World of Warcraft. So, here we shall continue the tour on some of the weapons belonging in the Bows category.

Daryl’s Hunting Bow

Daryl’s Hunting Bow is nothing to be afraid of (for the target and not for the user). It has a speed rating of 2.30 and can inflict a measly 10.2 damage per second or from 16 to 31 total damage to its target. Do not get your hopes up with Daryl’s Hinting Bow as this weapon would not last as long as you hope it will.

Cadet’s Bow

The Cadet’s Bow is a level 6 weapons that sells for 28. You can find this bow when you go fishing in either the Elwynn Forest or the Durotar. It has a speed rating of 2.00 and can only inflict from 4 to 9 damage or a very puny 3.2 damage per second. However, considering the item level, the damage that Cadet’s Bow can inflict can just be the right amount.

Crusader Bow

Crusader Bow is a weapon for use by players in the 40th level and higher and only binds when it is equipped to the character and not by picking it up. You can fish a Crusader Bow at Eastern Plaguelands. The attack power of the Crusader Bow is fairly modest and falls rather to the lower half of the list of powerful bows. It has a speed rating of 2.20 which is not flattering and amazing for a bow and can only inflict as much as 34.8 damage per second or 53 to 100 total damage.

Deep Strike Bow

The Deep Strike Bow is built for level 55 players and higher. It is a ranged bow that binds to a character when it is picked up and automatically increases the character’s stamina by 4 and its agility by 6. Furthermore, the Deep Strike Bow increases the critical strike rating of the character by 6 or 0.47% when it is equipped. It has a speed rating of 2.70 and can induce 97 to 181 damage to its target or 51.4 damage per second. The Deep Strike Bow packs quite a bit of power so use it well and it will be an asset.

Bristleblitz Striker

Quite the looker and the puncher (not literally), the Bristleblitz Striker definitely is a popular choice among World of Warcraft players. It is a ranged weapon that binds when it is picked up and automatically increases the stamina of the character by 28 (the required level is 70). When it is equipped, it will increase the critical strike rating of the character by 25 or 1.13%. The Bristleblitz Striker prides itself not in the speed department but rather on the Damage department. Though it has a modest speed of 3.00, the Bristleblitz Striker inflicts a whopping 138.0 damage per second or from 289 to 539 total damage to its target. This means that you only need the right timing and a pretty clear shot to fatally harm your opponent. Use the Bristleblitz Striker very well.

Cracked Shortbow

The Cracked Shortbow is a ranged bow that requires level 3 players. It is not powerful by any means and is often times overlooked by most players of World of Warcraft as it is usually overshadowed by more powerful bows or other weapons in the level. However, if you want to try using the Cracked Shortbow then you can fish this bow in Azuremyst Isle or buy it for 39. The Cracked Shortbow has an average speed rating of 2.30 and can only induce as much as 3.5 damage per second or 5-11 total damage. It is not powerful and it is likely that your attack would not even harm your target so you might want to use another bow for this.
