World of Warcraft Weapons Guide: Bows – Part 6

Many World of Warcraft players overlook bows when they are looking for weapons to use simple because they do not look all too powerful and fatal at all. They are also one of the cheapest shooting weapons that is found in the Auction House. However, you should know that bows are very useful especially if you have great accuracy. Moreover, you can use bows to hit your target while you are at a greater distance. You could continue this sneak attack for as long as you can and you could avoid getting into close combats and use swords, axes, or daggers.

Harpy Needler

The Harpy Needler can be fished by players in the 46th level of higher at Blasted Lands. This ranged WoW weapon binds to a character when it is equipped. Once bound, Harpy Needler will enhance its hosts agility by 7, ranged attack power by 17, intellect by 5, and stamina by 7. It has a speed rating of 2.70 and is quite a durable weapon thus, it will serve you for quite a longer period.  However, it is not a strong weapon in terms of damage inducing prowess as proven by its measly 39.7 health damage per second of from 74 to 140 total health damage that it can take from its target. This weapon sells for 1 Gold, 95 Silvers, and 91 Bronzes and could also be picked up from over 200 characters (including NPCs) that has dropped it. Hawkeye Bow

The Hawkeye Bow requires players to be in the 58th level before it would bind to their character. It is ranged weapon in World of Warcraft that when bound to a character, will improve the character’s agility by 9, the ranged attack power by as much as 22, stamina by up to  and intellect by up to 6. Aside from those, the Hawkeye Bow has a speed rating of 1.7 and packs quite a mediocre striking power ticking at 49.0 damage per second or from 58 to 109 damage. You can buy this weapon for 3 Golds, 11 Silvers, and 93 Bronzes or if you could pick this up from these characters:

Hearstriker

The Hearstriker is dropped by Broodlord Lashlayer at the Blackwing Lair and could only be picked up by players in the 60th level and higher. It binds when it is picked up and automatically increases the agility of the character by 12, attack power by 24, and its stamina by 9. It has a speed rating of 2.60 and has quite a powerful striking power. It could inflict 133 to 249 damage to its target or an above average 73.4 health damage per second. The Heartstriker sells for 6 Golds, 8 Silvers, and 67 Bronzes.

 

Heavy Recurve Bow

As heavy as the name is, its effect and impact is quite the contradiction. The Heavy Recurve bow requires players to reach at least the 20th level before it can be used. It is a ranged weapon with a speed of 2.40 and can do only 25 to 48 damage to its target or 15.3 health damage per second. It sells for 12 Golds and 69 Silvers and you can buy the it from 28 sellers in World of Warcraft. The list of sellers include:

High Warlord’s Recurve

The High Warlord’s Recurve is a ranged weapon that requires players to be in the 60th level of higher. It binds immediately when it is picked up and automatically increases the character’s stamina by 7. When equipped, the High Warlord’s Recurve will increase the ranged attack power by 36. It has a speed rating of 1.80 and can inflict 55.8 damage per second or 80-121 total damage. It is quite a durable weapon so next time you want an average performing bow that would last very long then buy the High Warlord’s Recurve.

 

Hickory Shotbow

The Hickory Shortbow is a reward from the Securing the Lines quest which requires level 7 players. It is a ranged weapon with a speed rating of 2.00 and is one of the weakest bows in World of Warcraft. In fact, it can only induce 6.5 damage per second or 9 to 17 total damage to its target.

 

Hoodoo Hunting Bow

You can get the Hoodoo Hunting Bow in Zul’Gurub because it is dropped by the character Wushoolay. This bow is a ranged weapon in World of Warcraft with player level requirement of 60. When picked up, the Hoodoo Hunting Bow will bind to the character and increase its agility by 10 and stamina by 4. Its speed is rated to be at 2.80 and is said that it could inflict 43.9 health damages per second or from 86 to 160 total damage to its target.

 

Houndmaster’s Bow

This bow is a ranged weapon that binds to players of the 48th level and higher when it is picked up. It automatically increases the agility of the character by 5 and its stamina by also 4 once it binds. If it is equipped, the Houndmaster’s Bow will increase the attack power of the character by as much as 24 when it is fighting Beasts. It has a bow speed rating of 2.70 and can give its target 45.1 damage per second or 89 to 159 total damage. You can get the Houndmaster’s Bow in the Blackrock Depths as it is dropped  by the Houndmaster Grebmar.

 

Huhuran’s Stinger

Huhuran’s Stinger is a capable bow. It is one of the stronger bows in World of Warcraft that could really inflict deep and great damage to its target. However, it only binds to a level 60 character when it is picked up. In this event, Huhuran’s Stinger will increase the character’s agility by as much as 18 points. Furthermore, Huhuran’s Stinger is also one of the most durable bows in World of Warcraft and is probably one of the top 10 bows when durability alone is put into mind. But that is not all. Huhuran’s Stinger bow is also quite a powerful strike which could inflict 77.5 health damage per second to its target or a whopping 146 to 273 total health damage points. You can get this item from the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj as it is dropped there by Princess Huhuran.
