World of Warcraft Weapons Guide: Guns – Part 4

Here is the fourth part of another article series that would focus on the Guns weapon category in World of Warcraft. Here, we shall discuss some of the guns that are dropped by many characters and some that are very rare to find. So, let us start.

Blasting Hackbut

Added in patch 1.11.1, the Blasting Hackbut was built for the Horde. It is a level 37 item that will bind to a character when it is picked up and will automatically increase the character’s agility by 5 points. Aside from those, the Blasting Hackbut is just an average gun that can hit a target at 2.80 speed and will give 25.7 damage per second or from 50-94 damage. The Blasting Hackbut was disenchanted for 245 times already. You can buy this for 63 Gold and 86 Silver or get this as a reward from the quest titled “Questioning Reethe” which requires level 35 players. The Blasting Hackbut is the same as 3 models: Greater Mystic Essence, Vision Dust, and Large Glowing Shard.

Consortium Blaster

Consortium Blaster is a weird looking gun that seems like a not-so-serious weapon. But as we all know in World of Warcraft, looks can be deceiving. Consortium Blaster is a weapon that was added to the game realm in patch 2.0.1. It is a level 115 item that could not be disenchanted. It binds immediately to a character with level 70 when it is picked up and will then increase the character’s stamina by 15 and agility by 14. When equipped, Consortium Blaster will increase the critical strike rating of the character by as much as 7 or 0.32%. This unique ranged weapon has a speed of 2.40 and can inflict 93.3 damage per second or from 156 to 292 total health damage. However, you cannot have all good things because this weapon is not very durable. Use this is battles with medium difficulty. The weapon is sole by 2 characters in the game: Karaaz at Netherstorm and Paulsta’ats at Nagrand. It sells for 6 Gold, 88 Silver, and 12 Bronze. Remember though that you need “The Consortium – Revered” to use this item.

Compact Shotgun

Compact Shotgun is a puny WoW gun. It is a level 13 item that requires level 8 players. Its speed rating is only at 2.00 and it could only inflict very little damage (12-24 damage or 9.0 damage per second). Moreover, Compact Shotgun is not a durable weapon so it would easily break even in the easiest battles. It sells for 3 Gold and 57 Silver only. Or you can fish this in Stormwind City, Orgrimmar, Ironforge, Wailing Caverns, Dalaran, Northern Barrens, and Thunder Bluff. Furthermore, you can pick this item from over 200 characters in the game that has dropped it. The characters include:

  • Eldinarcus at Eversong Woods
