World of Warcraft Weapons Guide: Guns – Part 5

Guns are world famous weapons. They are used in many games today like Counter Strike and Call of Duty. However, they play a specially important part in WoW. Here, we shall continue discussing some of the guns that you will most likely use in the game.

Core Marksman Rifle

Core Marksman Rifle was added to World of Warcraft via patch 1.11.1. It is a level 65 item that needs level 60 players to be used. This ranged weapon will bind to a character (given the player level is right) when equipped. In that case, the Core Marksman Rifle will increase the hit rating of the character by 10 or 1.07% and the ranged attack power by as much as 22. It has a speed rating of 2.50 and could inflict 61.5 damage per second or from 107-201 total health damage. Furthermore, the Core Marksman Rifle is one of the most durable weapons in World of Warcraft so you do not have to worry about using it in extremely strenuous situations. You can buy this item for 5 Gold, 56 Silver, and 17 Bronze or you can get the other models that are similar to it: Sawed-Off Hand Cannon and K3 Pachyderm Prevention Device.

Croc-Hunter’s Rifle

This WoW item is a level 90 weapon that was a product of patch 2.0.1. A very simple looking rifle indeed but one could definitely infer that the item packs quite a punch. Croc-Hunter’s Rifle will bind to a level 60 character when it is equipped. The good thing is that the item brings a lot of random enchantments to the character including the increase in agility by 13, intellect by 13, spirit by 13, hit rating by 6, critical strike rating by 6, strength by 8, and attack power by 9. Aside from those, Croc-Hunter’s Bow brings very strong striking abilities as it can inflict 62.2 damage per second (117-219 damage) with its 2.70 speed rating. However, the Croc-Hunter’s Rifle is not very durable. You can buy this item for 4 Gold, 45 Silver, and 24 Bronze or pick this up from 132 characters including:

Crystal Slugthrower

This WoW item is no longer available to the players of the game. Crystal Slugthrower was a level 65 item that will bind when equipped to characters in the 60th level or higher. When equipped, Crystal Slugthrower will increase the agility of the bound character by 10 and the stamina by 4. It has a speed rating of 2.80 and has a striking rating of 55.7 damage per second or from 109 to 203 damage to its target. Also, the Crystal Slugthrower is one of the more durable weapons in the whole game when it was available to players. The Crystal Slugthrower is the same as Xorothian Firestick which is a level 62 item that requires level 57 players to use it.

Dark Iron Rifle

Dark Iron Rifle is a stony looking bow that was added to World of Warcraft in patch 1.11.1.This level 55 item is everything that you can expect from a mediocre performing weapon in the game: average strikes, average speed and average random enchantments. This requires level 50 players to bind. When it is equipped, it will increase the character’s chance to attack the ranged target using Shadow Shot to take 18 to 26 Shadow damage from the target. It has a speed rating of 2.70 and it could inflict 47.4 damage per second or from 89 to 167 total health damage. Remember though that the Dark Iron Rifle is not the most durable weapon so exercise care when using it. If you do not want this weapon then you can try these other weapons:

  • Updgraded Dwarven Hand Cannon (level 1 item requiring level 80 players)
  • Blastershot Launcher (level 70 item requiring level 60 players)
  • Dwarven Hand Cannon (level 58 item requiring level 53 players)

  • Zombie Shotgun (level 37 item requiring level 34 players)

Daryl’s Hunting Rifle

Daryl’s Hunting Rifle looks like a trumpet and is probably better off being one. It is, in no way, powerful. It does not even bring any random enchantment to the character that it is bound or is capable of inflicting enough damage to its target. Darryl’s Hunting Rifle has 2.50 speed and it could only give 10.8 damage per second to its target or from 18 to 36 total health damage which is really puny for a ranged WoW weapon. Its item level is 16 and it sells for 5 Gold and 95 Silver. If you want to try it then you can buy but there are 23 other models that are quite similar to it that you might want to try. Here are the 23 other models:
