World of Warcraft Weapons Guide: Maces – Part 7

This part 7 of the article series that discusses the maces used in World of Warcraft does not contain any item that is not available to game players today. All of the WoW maces discussed here are still very much available to game players. For more information, please read the other articles on this series before proceeding to read this article.

Block Mallet

Block Mallet is quite a strong looking bow that would make anyone think that it is keeping something powerful from its appearance. Yes, the Block Mallet gives off that kind of aura but the truth is that it is actually a pretty simple mace. This WoW item is a level 22 mace that requires players to reach the 17th level first before it binds. It binds when equipped and will increase the stamina by of the character by 3. This one hand WoW item has a rated average speed of 1.80 and 11.2 damage per second or 14 – 27 damage infliction prowess. Its durability though is pretty questionable as it has quite a poor rating. If you are on the 17th level then you might want to wait a bit to use the Bulky Bludgeon instead of this one. Still, if you still want to use this one then you can buy it for 19 Gold and 62 Silver. The Block Mallet is also similar to these other WoW items:

  1. Cookie’s Meat Mallet (level 17 item, level 15 players)
  2. Rubidium Hammer (level 52 item, level 47 players)
  3. Plaguewood Mace (level 44 item, level 41 players)
  4. Hammer (level 21 item, level 16 players)
  5. Bulky Bludgeon (level 28 item, level 23 players)
  6. Ogre Tapper (level 54 item, level 52 players)
  7. Gnoll Punisher (level 17 item, level 12 players)
  8. Ghoul Hammer (level 18 item, level 13 players)
  9. Cranial Thumper (level 12 item, level 7 players)
  10. Iridescent Hammer (level 28 item, level 23 players)

Blunting Mace

Seriously? The name of this WoW item is as good as what you can get from its actual performance. The Blunting Mace (are maces not blunt?) is a level 46, main hand WoW item that requires players to reach the 41st level first before it binds. It was added in patch 1.11.1 and looks very simple. The speed of the Blunting Mace is nothing to be impressed of as it is at 2.10. The 16.5 damage per second or 24 to 45 health damage that this WoW item can do is also not much to be proud of. In short, the Blunting Mace is a pretty simple WoW weapon that is still quite usable. The durability rating of the Blunting Mace is not that high but is quite good compared to other maces in the game. It is sold for 71 Gold and 98 Silver and was dropped by about 200 characters in the game. The character’s list includes:

The speed of the Bronze Mace is at 2.60 and it can inflict 11.2 damage per second which is equivalent to 20 – 38 health damage. Durability of the Bronze Mace is nothing to be proud of.
